I've been going here since I was around 5 years old. Maybe younger. I'm now 20. This place has the best quality Mexican food around. If you go anywhere else near by you are missing out. Nothing comes close to their food

Everyone is so friendly, and the food is excellent. Especially your salsas. The Avocado and Tomatillo salsa is maybe the best I have ever tasted - I'm savoring it to the last drop! Thanks so much.

It was busy today. I've been coming here since I was 10, 16 years. They have the best tacos in San Diego. I prefer La Mesita over tacos el gordo. My go to is the carne asada and horchata. I've never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and the menu is very diverse. This place is a hidden gem. They cater too.

Late night taco spot. Gets busy. Waited a while bit it was late night so.... I'd do it again. Lol! Real good Carne asada nachos. Like over the top good!

I ordered a Cali Burrito w/,sour cream guacamole! , no Pico and 5 rolled tacos with cheese sour cream and guacamole! Fire???????????? its crunchy and very flavorful! I recommend you try this place out. Yum ????

There are a lot of taco shops on University, but this is the best one for both taste and portion size. Not the cheapest, but worth it.

La Mesita has been our favorite go to Mexican food for a couple years now. However yesterday... in the early afternoon the food wasn't horrible! Old lettuce, bland, the meat didn't taste good the sopes had a taste of, I don't know... old food and no seasoning! What happened to my place?

Mini tacos de asada review: You can order 1, 3 or 5 which is unusual to order them in odd numbers but actually works. When I opened the container I was delighted to see radishes, grilled jalapeño and guacamole (without an extra charge). The meat wasn't bland but also not the most flavorful but good still. Will definitely be back to try other items. The cashier was friendly, plenty of parking.

This place is delicious. I got a surf and turf burrito which was absolutely delightful. Also the rice and beans are phenomenal. The best part is the rice has no carrots or rice which makes it even better. Definitely give it a try.

Their food is delicious! I always get the Caldo de Res or Abundigas (Mexican meatball soup) it so delicious! The staff are always helpful & my order is ready quickly!
